London, being the largest city in the United Kingdom holds historical and cultural significance. It is filled with a lot of indoor and outdoor attractions. To get the ultimate sightseeing experience, a visit to one or all of the following places, if you may, would give you just that.
1. The British Museum
For lovers of history, culture, and artifacts, or simply curious travelers, the British Museum in London is one place to explore and enjoy. Filled with millions of the finest collections of works from every continent, you can either freely wander the vast galleries of the museum on your own or pay for a tour guide who will provide you with all the details you need to know about the museum.
At the museum, you get to feast your eyes on the richness of human history with objects like The Rosetta Stone from Egypt, The Parthenon sculptures from Greece, Milden Hall Treasures from Suffolk, England, The famous Egyptian Mummies, and a whole lot more. These works hold significance to different cultures and tell their stories over the years till now.
Because the museum is so big, it would be better to explore in detail areas of your interest alone, and maybe skim through other areas if you have the time.
2. London Eye
The gigantic observation wheel is one of the biggest wheels in the world. It floats in the air along the Thames River. The wheel doesn't offer a ‘rollercoaster ride,’ instead, it circles slowly for half an hour, giving you an aerial view of popular landmarks in London; Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, and so on.
Because of its popularity, there’s always a long queue. You can however escape this when you buy your tickets online beforehand.
On any of the pods or capsules, you can either enjoy the sunset view or the nighttime view, whatever catches your fancy. But if you're scared of heights, while you would miss out on breathtaking views of London, you might want to sit this one out.
3. Hyde Park
This is one of the Royal Parks in London and a delightful outdoor location at the center of the city. The vast area of land is the perfect location for people of all ages to escape the busy streets, relax, and appreciate the outdoor scenery.
There are a lot of places to get refreshments, as well as different activities to try out like horse riding, tennis, cycling, jogging, paddling on the Serpentine Lake, and many more.
Hyde Park is also popular for hosting events, concerts, and some of London’s major festivals. If you happen to be there during Christmas, you see how the park is transformed into a magical land with lights and decorations, and you can try out your skating skills as well. Or not.
4. Buckingham Palace
This is a no-brainer, as it is home to the royals. Parts of the palace are open to visitors for touring during summer, so you should plan towards this time. At the palace, you witness grandeur and royalty with dashing Interiors and serene exteriors- the ballroom, picture gallery, throne room, the grand and marble halls, the gardens- such exquisiteness!
One other thing you can look forward to here is the changing of the guard ceremony which is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It is such a sight to behold.
A visit to Buckingham Palace is one to surely leave you with an even more fascinating impression of Royalty.
5. Warner Bros Studio

Hold off on reality and fill your day with magic by experiencing what a day in the life of Harry Potter looks like. In the Warner Bros Studio, there’s a remarkable collection of the film's props, artifacts, costumes, and sets that have been kept, maintained, and open for the world to explore.
You get to walk through the great walls of Hogwarts, be a Gryffindor in the Gryffindor common room, and visit the wizarding bank, Dumbledore’s office, the Diagon Alley, among others. All these sum up a comprehensive world of Harry Potter.

6. Sea life center
If you would love to soak in some aquatic splendor, the sea life center is a good idea. Home to sea creatures from all over the world, the indoor aquatic sight shows you an array of the world of aquatic life.
Different species of sharks, anemones, crabs, starfish, and crocodiles are carefully sectioned into three zones; Ocean Invaders, Rain Forest Adventure, and Coral Kingdom. You can also walk through the heart of the aquarium through the iconic glass ocean tunnel. Spectacular sight indeed!
